Turkey Taurus Trail

Day 1 - Home - Antalya
Flight from Home to Antalya or with a short transfer in Istanbul. After arrival at Antalya airport you will be taken to our nice guest house. The tour guide will go through the route and in the evening you will be introduced to your motorbike.

Day 2 - Antalya - Sütcüler
We start with 45 kilometers of asphalt to get out of the city of Antalya and to the town of Gebiz. Immediately north of this we dive into the mountain paths and only come out again before lunch. In the afternoon we drive a beautiful but not very easy track over high passes over gravel, stones and sand. We then come to the other side of the first Taurus ridge. Not much further is the quiet but cozy town of Sütcüler. We spend the night here in a family guesthouse with a view over the valley.

Day 3 - Sütcüler - Egirdir
From Sütcüler we drive to the northwest. Here some beautiful tracks run through very rugged high mountains. We soon arrive at a lake with a beautiful practice piece, where we practice in sand, gravel and stones for about an hour and a half. Then we eat Turkish pizzas in a nice hut. After lunch we go up a ski slope with a beautiful climb in it. We drive at an altitude of about 2200 m. Then we go towards Egirdir. There we spend the night in a beautiful guest house on the lake where you can swim.

Day 4 - Egirdir - Beysehir
Today it will be a journey over a tough and quite long off-road route. We drive along Lake Egirdir for a while and then turn right into the mountains. In the first village we leave the asphalt road and we continue or the stone and sandy paths towards the southeast. Only the last 60 kilometers are on asphalt, but on very beautiful winding roads with a view of the Beysehir lake.

Day 5 - Beysehir - Akseki
A day like yesterday with a solid but very beautiful off road route. In the morning we still drive on tractor paths in the hilly landscape. In the afternoon we return to the Taurus high mountains and drive off road sections through the snow. But the Taurus Mountains are so beautiful. Via an old once asphalted mountain road we arrive in the mountain village Akseki with a view of the valley and the coniferous forests.

Day 6 - Akseki - Antalya
From Akseki we take a beautiful winding road to the town of Badr. After tea there is an exciting route on stone paths. We eventually reach a beautiful valley where we see wild horses, along deep precipices. After this valley we go back into the mountains. It's the last piece of off-road this week. In the afternoon we arrive on the main road to Antalya for the last 75 km. In nice Antalya you can still buy souvenirs or enjoy the delicious food and cold beer on one of the many terraces.

Day 7 - Antalya - home
